ELECTROPLATED DIAMOND PRODUCTS
Electroplated Diamond Products
Basics Of Electroplated Bond
Normally for electroplated bonds a single layer of abrasive grain is applied. The abrasive grains are usually sprinkled on the wheel body and help by a metallic matrix.
Since Nickel is used as the branding material, it lends its basic properties to the wheel: Hardness, Toughness, Adhesive, Resistance to Wear
Advantages
The numerous grits projecting from the branding matrix lend a lot of advantages for the electroplated bonded wheels.
1. Ability to grip firmly
2. Extremely high grinding performance
3. Can grind even strong ductile material
4. Have a tool life of 1 to 100 ground meters depending on grit size and grinding.
Often the finished surfaces are somewhat rougher than those ground with the same grit size in bonds such as resin bond, metal bond or vitrified bond. An improvement of the surface comes gradually with the microcrystalline wear of the grit points and the increase of cutting edges so that the electroplated grinding tools is always characterized by the variation of the achievable surface quality over the service life.
Characteristic
- Single grit layer in an extremely stable bond
- High geometric and proportion precision
- Extremely high grinding performance
- High abrasive due o high grit protrusion
- Very good dressing behaviour
- Body can be re-plated several times
- Long tool life
- High geometric stability
- No dressing procedure necessary
- Static grit arrangement on the steel body.

Diamond Slitting Wheels
Varun Udyog Diamond Saws are highly efficient in cutting hard materials such as carbides, ferro magnets, glass fibre, bakelite, glass ,hard plastics, brake lining etc.
Standard sizes of 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 18, 20 inches are readily available in thickness from 0.4 mm to 3.0 mm or as specified.
Grit Size : 80 / 100 (Rough), 120 / 140 (Medium), 200 / 240 (Fine), or as specified.
Diamond & CBN Internal Grinding Wheels
Diamond Internal Grinding Wheels are suited for non ferrous materials such as Tungsten Carbide, Ceramics, Sapphire, Glass, Stones, Fibre Reinforced Plastics etc. CBN Internal Grinding Wheels are usually used for hard ferrous materials over 45 HRC such as High Carbon and High Carbon High Chrome Steels etc.
Available in sizes varying from 1.0 mm to 20 mm or as specified.
Grit Size: 80 / 100 (Rough), 120 / 140 (Medium), 200 / 240 (Fine) or as specified.
Replating and Coating of Diamond and CBN Wheels
A complete refurbishing and re-plating service is available for both standard and custom diamond tooling.
Steel blanks in good condition can normally be re-plated.
Special process for coating on Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Carbide, etc
Special Profile Diamond Wheels
Varun Udyog specializes in Profile wheels. Wheels will be manufactured strictly as per drawings and tolerances given in the customer drawings.
Diamond Core Drills
Sizes from 3.5mm – 60mm
For Drilling Stone, Tile, Glass Bottles, Shell, Ceramic, Concrete Porcelain and more. These diamond core drill bits are still our most popular tools for drilling through hard materials. Sometimes referred to as diamond hole saws or diamond coring drills, they will produce a hole in whatever you put in front of them.
Diamond grit is precisely electroplated onto a steel shank
Drilling Depth: from 25mm to 35mm
Sizes stated are +/- 0.2mm
Wall thickness: 1mm – 1.5mm
THIN WALL DIAMOND CORE DRILLS
These electroplated diamond core drill bits have a thin wall in comparison with our standard diamond core drills. The thin wall allows for a more precise cut with a better surface finish and less chipping. They should be used on delicate, hard materials such as optical glass, watch glass, sheet glass, thin glass, thin slices of stone, or any stone that is 6.5 or below on the Moh’s scale of hardness.
- Diameter sizes available from 4.5mm – 12mm
- Wall thickness of between 0.4mm – 0.6mm
